Annual Software Sales Camps
This large company develops and sells software products across a wide range of verticals. For each of the three years I worked on this project as an ID, I teamed with the Lead within the Manufacturing vertical. Many of these products included software for drafting, architecture, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
Between 2007 and 2009, I developed all the training materials for annual in-person training seminars for all sales personnel in the manufacturing vertical. To do this I worked closely with the SME who was responsible for putting together all the sessions within the vertical. He was my point of contact, and he would bring in content from his key people. I would package the content and work with the Lead on every aspect until he was comfortable with the presentation.
Materials included instructor guides, student guides, a PowerPoint presentation, and various games. I was the ID and I had access to graphic artists as needed.
For games, we developed formats that were easy and fun, while addressing the key learning objectives we wanted participants to walk away with. One of these was a take on Chutes and Ladders. Another was a spin on Monopoly that reinforced the concepts around selling digital prototyping solutions.
